Let's talk about sodium ('cause no one in puerto rico is talking about it). I completely understand that is a shoe-in toward off food-borne pathogens but people can we talk!?

FYI - here's some stuff you should know about salt:
if a package says "sodium free" item contains less than 5 milligrams of the stuff
"low sodium" 140 milligrams or less
"reduced" only by 25%
"unsalted" only naturally occurring salt.

Why no more than 1500 milligrams? Blood pressure, general heart health, fluid retention the list is long and not good when you exceed 1500 milligrams daily!

Back to Peurto Rico - it is so hot, I have oatmeal for breakfast (been here since saturday evening), run for 35 mins, workout and take a killer 9:30-11:00 am yoga class - then my day begins. I must digress and let you know that people jog outside all day long, (it's 90 degrees every bloody day)not just locals (it's nuts!)

Lunches - first day i really thought i had a bottom less pit for a stomach and quickly (not so quickly) stopped the madness. what is interesting is that, because it's so hot, we take a 3 hour siesta everyday around 3 - 6 then, after we walk everywhere. Sleep is so good (who knew?)

Dinners -  after the first day, didn't eat again for the rest of the day but, going forward it got better; still not hungry at night (because it is soooo bloody hot - what is wrong with these people who will not stop jogging outside; one girl said she is getting ready for the marathon- whose blood can take that? I am such a light-weight)
